It’s better if I confine myself to the malpractitioners of my own branch of Christianity but really, what more is there to be said after “female pastor”? Therefore, to honor the retirement of Bishop Patrick McGrath I shall expose his deeds. Demanding a fancy house for his golden years barely scratches the surface of his evil.

The Catholic Diocese of San Jose has purchased a five-bedroom, $2.3 million home in Silicon Valley for its retiring bishop despite the 640,000-member diocese’s mission of charity and serving the poor.

Bishop Patrick J. McGrath, 73, acknowledged in an interview with the Mercury News of San Jose that the price tag is “a lot of money,” saying “I could understand it might not sit well with some parishioners.” …

It was purchased with funds set aside for paying the costs of a bishop’s housing and upkeep after retirement, said diocese communications director Liz Sullivan. She said the diocese was “following the policy set forth by the United States Council of Catholic Bishops” in purchasing the home.

The USCCB is a notoriously corrupt organization.

“The fund is a fund that can be used for nothing else,” McGrath said. “When I’m not around anymore, the house can be sold. It’s a good investment in that sense. It probably makes more money this way than if it were in the bank.”

It’s not a good investment. One: earthquakes. Two: buying high and selling low ain’t the way to make money. McGrath is either bad with money or lying… and we’ve already established he’s a liar with that “might not sit well with some parishioners” comment.

Still, the purchase appears at odds with the McGrath’s previously expressed concerns about housing inequality in Northern California.

In 2016, McGrath co-authored an article backing a $950 million bond measure for affordable housing in which he wrote “too many children and families are living in cars or tripled up with other families in small homes because they can’t afford the rent on their own.”

“There is no moral or social justification, no justification whatsoever, for the lack of housing,” he wrote.

Many retired clergy choose to live in a retirement community in Mountain View sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. Others live in church rectories, the homes of parish priests. Catholic orders like the Society of Jesus provide accommodations for fellow Jesuits.

“Those are all possibilities,” McGrath said. “But I’d like to live in a house so I would have the freedom to help the diocese but not disturb the priests in the rectories.”

McGrath said he looked at various homes both within and beyond the diocese but “they all had some kind of drawback.”

“I looked at places way out in the East Bay, but I like the valley,” McGrath said. “I thought it would be nice to be here, to be of assistance (with the parish) if I can.”

McGrath said he’s not planning to have other clergy as regular housemates, though people to help him cook and clean might come and stay.

Bishop McGrath issued the directive last week in response to Illinois Bishop Thomas Paprocki who, following Catholic teaching, said that those in same-sex “marriages” shouldn’t present themselves to or be admitted to Holy Communion, nor should they receive a Catholic funeral if they died without showing signs of repentance.

McGrath called Paprocki’s guidelines . without specifically mention his brother bishop . .confusing.”

McGrath justified admitting “anyone” to Holy Communion by quoting Pope Francis.

McGrath has championed Pope Francis. vision for an “inclusive” and “diverse” Church where a new understanding of “mercy” has been used to encourage pastoral practices that are sometimes at odds with clear Catholic doctrine.

Turds of a feather stick together. You can easily recognize a pathological liar among celebrities and other public figures by their refusal to speak clearly. Pope Francis is like Jordan Peterson, able to talk for an hour without saying anything. They’re men whose opinions are well-protected by squid ink.

It is not a natural ability, to talk much without speaking. A tiny credit to McGrath, he is shameless in his opposition to Christ, Trump and sexual continence.

San Jose Bishop Patrick McGrath denounces separation of families at US-Mexico border

The separation of detained minor children from their parents is un-American, un-Christian and inhumane. This practice is mean-spirited and betrays our nation’s tradition of welcome to migrants and refugees. Coupled with this, the United State’s Attorney General’s decision to deny welcome to victims of domestic and gang violence is a further betrayal of the values that have until now characterized the immigration policy of the United States. The Attorney General’s attempt to justify these actions by citing Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans is a final betrayal of millennia-old principles. Blind obedience to the state has never been the mark of our democracy, which has historically been characterized by civil discourse and compromise.

The reason ICE separated kids from adults is because putting little kids in the same housing units as gang bangers and human traffickers is not safe. Typically, Leftoids paint a picture of jack-booted ICE agents kidnapping crying children at gunpoint from happy families when in fact, the Leftoids are making little kids more available to sex traffickers. Meanwhile, VAWA agents kidnap children from their fathers. Crickets from the Left.

Indeed, early Christians were often at odds with secular society and the government. When questioned about allegiance to the Roman Empire, Jesus instructed his followers to “Render to Caesar what is Caesar.s, but to God, the things that are God.s. (Matthew 22:21). As the Christian message began to take hold, early communities of believers found themselves in deep conflict with the Roman government. Thus, it is a perversion of Scripture to teach that God’s people must blindly obey the government, even when the government is enacting unjust laws.

Utterly false. Early communities of believers were loyal Romans, excepting only that they refused to worship Caesar as a god. That was their only crime, not civil disobedience or deceit. Rejecting unjust laws is an American luxury, not a Christian luxury, one that Leftoids like McGrath would be greatly pleased to do away with. Witness their gun-banning efforts.

We encourage Congress to fix our broken immigration system, to honor promises made to children who were brought to the United States (.DACA recipients.), and to include the good of families in their deliberations.

Yo, fat priest. Obedience to clergy is not how America does business.

In closing, let us all remember the words addressed to the Israelites on their desert journey: .You shall not oppress a resident alien; you well know how it feels to be an alien, since you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 23:9). And let us treat with compassion those who today knock on the doors of our hearts.

Tolerance is one of founding principles of the United States. Which of those three rights is tolerance?

Recent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, are indicative of the limits of tolerance. The hate-driven speech and actions of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and the KKK are rooted in a racism that can find no home in this country or our world. To invoke the name of God as justification for racist bigotry is an affront to all believers.

Leftoids do not understand irony.

Santa Clara County, in which we are privileged to live, to raise families, and to contribute to the common good, is enriched by the religious, cultural and ethnic diversity of its residents and workers. This diversity is not only our strength; it is also our beauty. As Catholics, we are involved in a dialogue that builds bridges within our own parishes and diocese and with the larger community. We cherish the descendants of those who were here before the Europeans, as well as all whose relatives . or even themselves . have come to this Valley in successive waves of immigration. In the same way, we must foster and defend the rights and the dignity of all who are vulnerable because of their race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, language or any other defining characteristic.

Patrick McGrath’s deity is obviously not Christ. Christ is not tolerant. One Savior. One God. Not the Jew’s God–they hate Him. Not the Muslim God–that’s the Deceiver, the devil. And not the god of… who’s that in the picture? The Unitarian? The Janitor?

McGrath made a living out of toeing the Socialist Party line, hating everybody from Christ to Trump, and is now retiring to a 3,300 square foot Tuscan house so he can be available, y’know, if anybody needs his expert guidance.

I approve. If you’re gonna trade your soul for the world then at least you should get to enjoy the world for a little while. Satan would no doubt prefer him to die now, with no reward at all for his crimes against God and men.

Retiring bishop says he won’t be moving into $2.3M home, San Jose diocese to sell

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — After intense criticism, The San Jose Catholic Diocese will be selling the $2.3 million home they bought for its retiring bishop. According to a statement, the bishop said he “erred in judgement” when the 5-bedroom home was selected.

Here is Bishop Patrick J. McGrath’s full statement:

“When I began plans to retire, and considered where I would live, I had wanted to remain in the Diocese of San Jose. This has been my home for nearly 20 years. At first, I had hoped to live in a diocesan-owned house that is located on cemetery property, but necessary retrofitting proved to be too costly.

This made it necessary to look for another house. The Diocesan Finance Council and the College of Consultors approved the purchase of the home in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose. I agreed with them that in economic terms the purchase of the home made sense in terms of financial return on investment. It was bought primarily with funds that had been designated for this sole purpose, funds that had accrued from the sale of Bishop DuMaine’s condominium, when he was no longer able to live in it due to failing health.

However, I erred in judgment in the purchase of a 5-bedroom home for $2.3 million. I failed to consider adequately the housing crisis in this valley and the struggles of so many families and communities in light of that crisis.

I have heard from many on this topic and I have decided that I will not move into this house. The Diocese will put it up for sale as soon as possible; if there is any profit to the Diocese from that sale, those funds will be donated to Charities Housing, a division of Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County.

I assume full responsibility for this decision and I believe that the sale of the house is the appropriate action. I thank those who have advised me.

When I retire, I now intend to live in a rectory at one of our parishes.”

I’m almost disappointed. The very worst fate the wicked can suffer is dying fat and happy. Ah, well. Congratulations, “winner” Patrick McGrath. Your crimes are done, reward denied. Now wait for God’s wrath in obscurity.
