Pete Buttigieg’s brother-in-law is accusing the gay Democratic presidential hopeful of hijacking his family’s history for political advantage by crafting a bogus backstory of poverty, homelessness, and homophobia.
Rhyan Glezman, 34, a pastor in small-town Michigan, said he was inundated by death threats and hate mail when stories surfaced this month claiming he was a bigot who had fallen out with his younger brother Chasten when Chasten came out of the closet.
The reports were based on a Washington Post article, which described how Chasten, 29, was forced out of the family home and never reconciled with his two brothers.

But rather than rejecting his brother Chasten, a would-be “first gentleman,” Glezman, who has run the Clio Community Church for the past two years, said his family has been loving and supportive throughout.
Has Chasten told his fellow Sodomites to leave you alone, Pastor Glezman? No, instead your brother’s intentional, politically useful lies were what exposed you to those death threats and hate mail.
It’s okay to stop being loving and supportive of your homosexual brother when he sics the media wolves on you.

What particularly stung, he added, was a line suggesting he or his other brother Dustin had effectively disowned Chasten by saying: .No brother of mine ..
That’s the entire quote. I’ve seen it on several news reports but only those four words, blatantly extracted from any relevant context. No brother of mine humps chicks? No brother of mine ever visited Bolivia?
I would say that’s a painfully inadequate reason to make death threats except that such threats are the new normal. Just the other day, I got threatened with lawsuits and a home burglary from a Craigslist scammer I crossed paths with a couple weeks ago. (Don’t cross the streams, ya morons. Which threat did you really mean?) (It was an escrow scam. TL;DR I learned that cashier’s checks are no longer automatically trustworthy.)

Glezman said no one had been particularly shocked when Chasten came out as gay. In fact it helped them make sense of his studious nature in a family of outdoorsmen, according to Glezman. Nor was his family particularly religious . .We went to church at Easter and Christmas” . or the type to banish a son into homelessness.

Glezman was particularly angered, he added, by accounts suggesting the family was poor and that Chasten went without as he was growing up. It was little more than an example of playing the “victim card” for political gain.

Glezman’s bond with his brothers, added the married father of one, was marked by a tattoo of a cross on his arm inscribed, .Forever.. And he explained how he treated his younger brother to a trip to an amusement park for his 21st birthday. .Would I do that if we didn’t have a relationship?.
They last hugged at the funeral for their grandmother a year ago. Glezman said he has hosted his brother’s previous boyfriends and that he went to a baseball game with Chasten and Pete Buttigieg last year.
A clergyman acting like homosexuality is normal is more disgusting than the actual perversion. A sick part of me is happy to see Chasten openly sneer at his brother’s hospitality. How long until this Nice Priest realizes that Chasten despises him?
Glezman was not prepared for the reaction to the Washington Post story and how what he views as a lie spread like wildfire online. Hateful missives arrived by email and text. Vitriol was posted on Facebook and Twitter. .There was one that said I should go out to the woodshed and kill myself,. he said.
It was all part of a public discourse, Glezman believes, that frequently writes off principled Christians as bigots. .I believe for me, as a Christian, we’re the people being shunned, people being silenced, and a lot of the liberal side of things are becoming the bigots to Christianity and faith,. he said. .They are becoming the intolerant side..
He’s only noticing now, in 2019? God save us from cloistered fools.
Buttigieg need not count on his vote this time around.

Chasten Buttigieg, 29, came out the summer after high school graduation. He said he told his family last about his sexuality.
.I remember my mom crying,. he said, “and the first thing she asked me was if I was sick. I think she meant, like, did I have AIDS?.
If you don’t yet then you will soon. Might as well jab yourself with every dirty syringe in the homeless camp, as live a homosexual life.
Buttigieg said he also remembers one of his brothers saying, .No brother of mine.. in reaction to the news.
Did Chasten invent this ambiguous quote out of nothing?
After his family’s response, Buttigieg packed his bags and left home. He slept on friends. couches and sometimes slept in his car in the parking lot of the community college he attended.
While a legal adult, he voluntarily left his parents’ home because they were worried about the health consequences of his embracing sodomy. Taking his story at face value, he preferred sleeping in his car to living at home with his family.
He said his mother called him after a few months and asked him to come back home.

His parents walked him down the aisle when he married Pete Buttigieg in June 2018. The two met in 2015 via the dating app Hinge.
Pastor Glezman has been leader of his current church for at least two years so he didn’t oppose this ceremonial abomination while being an active pastor. This is exactly why the American Church is dead: it’s become the Cult of Nice.
Glezman, it’s time for you to wake up and realize that your brother is dead, or rather, that you are dead to him. “Mrs.” Pete Buttigieg lied about you and your parents for selfish political gain and he is no more repentant of that than he is repentant of that sham marriage ceremony you winked at while a pastor. See what your acceptance of his evil ways has led to? He spits in your face because you’re just that gutless.
The Christian thing to do is publicly break fellowship with your brother from now until repentance, per 1 Corinthians. Do not allow his evil into your life. Stop being Nice.

After reading this, I think I can now safely say that being “ordained” is about as indicative of being a true shepherd of Christ’s flock as having an MCSE certification from Microsoft is indicative of someone’s ability to actually build and maintain a functional Windows server. Which is to say, the first part has bugger-all to do with the second part.
“Ordination” today means nothing other than that some spineless, selfish, world-loving ignoramus has paid for a certificate from a heresy mill that allows them to call themselves the CEO of some churchian franchise (i.e., a state-chartered, non-profit religious services corporation). The evidence is overwhelming that it has less than ZE-RO to do with whether these clowns have any real knowledge of or trust in the figure their religion is named after, or if they are even truly born again in Him at all (it’s not even worth asking rhetorically whether their customers have any such faith, belief, or rebirth either).
This story prompts me to repeat once more what I’ve been saying around the ‘sphere for the last year: within five years, gay marriages will be taking place in most American Protestant churches – even “evangelical” ones. Their are simply too many castrato hirelings like Ryan Glezman polluting church pulpits today, and too many pseudo-Christian, world-loving pew warmers following them. Odds are that most American “Christians” relate more to Sodomite Chasten than to his brother.
