Pornhub Needs to EARN IT: Section 230 Bait-And-Switch

This feels SOOO awkward. Me, a devout Christian, defending Pornhub from the morality police. Like Trump, it’s not that I approve of them so much as the people who want me dead, want them dead too for no crime that they actually did. Nothing makes me champion the sleazy merchant against the tyrant more than the cold certainty that I am the tyrant’s next target.

Politics make strange bedfellows, so to speak.

Visa and Mastercard cut off Pornhub after report of unlawful videos

h ttps://www.theverge.com/2020/12/10/22168240/mastercard-ending-pornhub-payment-processing-unlawful-videos

Credit companies Visa and Mastercard announced that they’ll no longer allow their cards to be used on Pornhub following a report that the website profits from rape and abuse victims.

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof wrote a piece detailing how many minors have had videos of their rape and abuse uploaded to Pornhub.

Following the report, Visa announced on Twitter that it was temporarily suspending its business with Pornhub and its parent company Mindgeek pending further investigation.

This is a trial run of Woke banks unpersoning people and organizations they don’t like. They’ve been doing it to us dissidents for years now; this is the first time they’re taking on an organization popular, for better or worse, with mainstream America.

.Given the allegations of illegal activity, Visa is suspending Pornhub’s acceptance privileges pending the completion of our ongoing investigation,. tweeted VisaNews on Thursday.

Uh-huh. The New York Slimes ran an OPINION PIECE making “allegations of illegal activity” and that was enough for the financial sector to revoke Pornhub’s right to exist. They had no choice, you see.

Mastercard spokesperson Seth Eisen told The Verge in an interview Thursday that the company would also stop allowing its cards to be used on Pornhub and would be conducting its own investigation.

Since when does Mastercard investigate crimes? They never investigated when my credit card number got stolen, which was the only time they had… how did SCOTUS just put it?.. “legal standing”.

.Today, the use of our cards at Pornhub is being terminated. Our investigation over the past several days has confirmed violations of our standards prohibiting unlawful content on their site,. Eisen said.

.As a result, and in accordance with our policies, we instructed the financial institutions that connect the site to our network to terminate acceptance. In addition, we continue to investigate potential illegal content on other websites to take the appropriate action..

Their policies obviously don’t come with “innocent until proven guilty” clauses. Y’know what, two of us can play the investigative detective game. Let’s proceed to the Slimes article that got this ball rolling.

The Children of Pornhub

By Nicholas Kristof, 4 December 2020

…………..

I don’t know what that Chinese means but it started off this article. Credit to the Times for such transparency about who owns their souls!

Pornhub prides itself on being the cheery, winking face of naughty, the website that buys a billboard in Times Square and provides snow plows to clear Boston streets. It donates to organizations fighting for racial equality and offers steamy content free to get people through Covid-19 shutdowns.

Every major company in USA donates to white genocide. It’s the price of being allowed to do business under our current government. Had Pornhub not donated to “racial equality”, Kristof’s bitching today would have been about their white supremacy.

Learn the lesson, businesses, and stop paying Danegeld. Fight while you can!

That supposedly “wholesome Pornhub” attracts 3.5 billion visits a month, more than Netflix, Yahoo or Amazon. Pornhub rakes in money from almost three billion ad impressions a day. One ranking lists Pornhub as the 10th-most-visited website in the world.

Nobody ever called Pornhub wholesome. The closest is “they’re just supplying a legitimate demand”. We’ve just been served notice that this is a hatchet job.

Unpersoning Pornhub out of the marketplace will set the precedent for endless marketplace-censorship. If the credit card companies can take down Pornhub, they can take down anybody. Pornhub makes a good first-strike because lots of bitter, ugly, post-Wall women will support the effort to get rid of the pretty girls.

Yet there’s another side of the company: Its site is infested with rape videos. It monetizes child rapes, revenge pornography, spy cam videos of women showering, racist and misogynist content, and footage of women being asphyxiated in plastic bags. A search for “girls under18. (no space) or .14yo. leads in each case to more than 100,000 videos. Most aren’t of children being assaulted, but too many are.

“Pornhub policed most of its massive content but a couple of somebody’s uploads got through. Instead of alerting Pornhub so they can remove the content, I’m alerting the authorities so they can shut down Pornhub entirely! How fortunate that I knew exactly where to look!”

After a 15-year-old girl went missing in Florida, her mother found her on Pornhub . in 58 sex videos. Sexual assaults on a 14-year-old California girl were posted on Pornhub and were reported to the authorities not by the company but by a classmate who saw the videos. In each case, offenders were arrested for the assaults, but Pornhub escaped responsibility for sharing the videos and profiting from them.

Ain’t Section 230 a bitch? We should get rid of it. *sly look at youTube, Twitter, Facebook, Google, Yahoo…*

Pornhub is like YouTube in that it allows members of the public to post their own videos. A great majority of the 6.8 million new videos posted on the site each year probably involve consenting adults, but many depict child abuse and nonconsensual violence. Because it’s impossible to be sure whether a youth in a video is 14 or 18, neither Pornhub nor anyone else has a clear idea of how much content is illegal.

Wait, the Grey Lady just smeared all of Big Tech? Making our very case that Section 230 needs to go?

The ethnic group that dominates Hollywood doesn’t get to complain about depictions of child abuse. If nonconsensual violence is inherently evil then somebody needs a Congressional subpoena to discuss the profitable Hellraiser movie franchise. Why is this only news now?

Unlike YouTube, Pornhub allows these videos to be downloaded directly from its website. So even if a rape video is removed at the request of the authorities, it may already be too late: The video lives on as it is shared with others or uploaded again and again.

There are lots of downloaders for youTube, some of which can bypass age restrictions. No link because I’m still working on my cops-shooting-criminals porn library.

.Pornhub became my trafficker,. a woman named Cali told me. She says she was adopted in the United States from China and then trafficked by her adoptive family and forced to appear in pornographic videos beginning when she was 9. Some videos of her being abused ended up on Pornhub and regularly reappear there, she said.

I heard “illegal immigrant” because I did NOT hear her ever talking to the police.

.I.m still getting sold, even though I’m five years out of that life,. Cali said. Now 23, she is studying in a university and hoping to become a lawyer . but those old videos hang over her.

Sure, that’s what sex traffickers who recruit from foreign countries do. They rape and violate orphans that nobody will miss until they turn 18, then they release the orphans with enough money to attend college and become trial lawyers.

.I may never be able to get away from this,. she said. .I may be 40 with eight kids, and people are still masturbating to my photos..

She’ll never have a family. Not because she had a bad past; because she’s attending college to become a lawyer specializing in blame-all-men crimes.

.You type “Young Asian” and you can probably find me,. she added.

Actually, maybe not. Pornhub recently was offering 26,000 videos in response to that search. That doesn’t count videos that show up under “related searches” that Pornhub suggests, including “young tiny teen,. .extra small petite teen,. .tiny Asian teen. or just “young girl.” Nor does it necessarily count videos on a Pornhub channel called “exploited teen Asia..

Yeah, 26,000 responses to “young asian” on a global porn site sounds non-credibly low. 26,000 “young asians uploaded in the last two minutes” sounds low. This is not a credible accusation of Pornhub engaging in international sex trafficking. Other accusations in this opinion piece are similar but I don’t want to go too far off-topic.

The issue is not pornography but rape. Let’s agree that promoting assaults on children or on anyone without consent is unconscionable. The problem with Bill Cosby or Harvey Weinstein or Jeffrey Epstein was not the sex but the lack of consent . and so it is with Pornhub.

Just so we’re clear on this, you New York Jew… your problem with child sex crimes is that children can’t currently give legal consent, not that sex with children is inherently evil? I don’t think we’re agreeing here.

I came across many videos on Pornhub that were recordings of assaults on unconscious women and girls. The rapists would open the eyelids of the victims and touch their eyeballs to show that they were nonresponsive.

Kristof keeps pairing the “child abuse” he found with other kinks. It’s like perusing bondage videos then complaining about all the “bondage and child abuse videos”.

Pornhub profited this fall from a video of a naked woman being tortured by a gang of men in China. It is monetizing video compilations with titles like “Screaming Teen,. .Degraded Teen. and “Extreme Choking.. Look at a choking video and it may suggest also searching for “She Can’t Breathe..

China again? (((New York))) has developed a curious obsession with China. They must not like having their own tools of financial manipulation and low-trust ethnic supremacy used against them.

It should be possible to be sex positive and Pornhub negative.

No. Pornhub is unquestionably the greatest celebrator of the sex act as an end in itself. This hatchet job is not about sex being liberated from its marital purposes. It’s about… what IS it about?

Congress and successive presidents have done almost nothing as this problem has grown. The tech world that made it possible has been mostly passive, in a defensive crouch. But pioneering reporting in 2019 by my Times colleagues has prodded Congress to begin debating competing strategies to address child exploitation.

He links to the EARN IT bill. News to me…

Senators have proposed a law requiring websites to actively fight child exploitation or risk losing legal protections. The bill, Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies (or EARN IT) Act, was introduced by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Josh Hawley (R-MO), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) today. It would establish a new government commission composed of administration officials and outside experts, who would set “best practices” for removing child sexual exploitation and abuse material online.

Outside experts means “nobody you elected”.

The principles are theoretically voluntary, but if companies don’t comply, they can be held legally responsible for that content . losing some protections provided by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. They can maintain immunity if they establish that they have “other reasonable practices” in place.

Sounds like an effort by Big Tech to gatekeep Real America’s frustrations with their publisher-platformer dance.

I strongly recommend that anybody interested in the Section 230 debate read this link in its entirety.

The EARN IT Act Is A Bait-And-Switch

While the EARN IT Act is ostensibly aimed at Section 230, it’s actually a sneaky way of affecting CALEA without directly amending it. Remember the two carve-outs in CALEA that I discussed above, for encryption and information services? Both DOJ and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been trying for at least a decade to close them. But Congress has shown no appetite for that. As said, CALEA has never once been amended in the quarter-century since it was passed. And even with the techlash in full swell, there isn’t a furious public frenzy over CALEA. Politicians know that many Americans are fed up with tech companies “hiding behind. Section 230 of the CDA. But nobody is saying, .I.m fed up with tech companies hiding behind Section 1002 of CALEA!.

So, how can law enforcement achieve its long-desired CALEA goal? By pushing a bill that talks about Section 230 instead.

People are angry about Section 230, so the DOJ is seizing upon that anger as its opening to attack encryption. I’ve been saying since 2017 that federal law enforcement agencies would take advantage of anti-Big Tech sentiment to get their way on encryption. Now the techlash is strong enough that they’re finally making their move. The bill is ostensibly taking a shot at Section 230, but that shot will ultimately land on CALEA.

Remember, CALEA makes it perfectly legal for providers of “information services. (such as Apple and Facebook) to design encryption that is not law enforcement-friendly. And even telco carriers can encrypt calls and throw away the decryption key. End-to-end encryption is legal under current federal law. Yet the EARN IT Act would allow an unelected, unaccountable commission to write “best practices. (not actual laws or regulations, yet liability would result from failing to abide by them) which, make no mistake, will condemn end-to-end encryption.

NCOSE is National Center On Sexual Exploitation.

Call on Congress to Investigate Pornhub!
Your action is needed!

Pornhub profits off of the abuse of hundreds, likely thousands, of victims of child sexual abuse, sex trafficking, rape, and non-consensually produced pornography uploaded to their website.

Survivor Rose Kalemba broke the silence by speaking to the BBC in a groundbreaking expose earlier this year, more than 2 million people have joined the #TraffickingHub campaign, and now more survivors have come forward in a recently published investigation in the New York Times by Nicholas Kristof. One told him, “Pornhub became my trafficker,” and said, .I.m still getting sold, even though I’m five years out of that life.”.

Again, that was an opinion piece, and the “victims” it describes were surprisingly not cooperative with law enforcement.

I wonder if that #TraffickingHub hashtag was started at the same time the EARN IT bill was introduced. Couldn’t find out but hmm, it seems sponsored by a Churchian organization called Exodus Cry. They’re already on my short list for fisking.

And it’s not just pornography sites. Online pornography has become married with social media like Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit. In just a three-month period this year, Facebook removed 12.4 million images related to child sexual exploitation.

These websites host child sexual abuse images and videos of sex trafficking or sexual assault resulting in the trauma of so many..Especially as online sexual exploitation soars during COVID-19, they should no longer enjoy immunity or a blind eye!

Why are Twitter and Facebook cooperating with this witch hunt? Because they’ll have seats on the (unelected) oversight committee that the EARN IT Act would create. They’ll be in a position to award themselves immunity from prosecution.

Pornhub will not.

Contact your Members of Congress, both U.S. Senators and Representatives..You can do that right here thanks to this easy-to-use Action page..

Please join the National Center on Sexual Exploitation in urging Congress to:.

Investigate Pornhub and #ShutItDown
Repeal CDA 230 Immunity for CSAM by passing the EARN IT Act (S. 3398 / H.R. 8454)
Together, we will create a world free from sexual abuse and exploitation!

And not incidentally, ban all forms of encryption that the FBI doesn’t have backdoor access to.

This attack on Pornhub has nothing to do with indecency and everything to do with Big Tech collusion with Deep State.

Worst of all is the EARN IT Act’s founding concept that innocence before the law is something that must be earned rather than assumed.

  1. After a 15-year-old girl went missing in Florida, her mother found her on Pornhub . in 58 sex videos. Sexual assaults on a 14-year-old California girl were posted on Pornhub and were reported to the authorities not by the company but by a classmate who saw the videos

If eyerolls were audible, you’d be covering your ears right now.

    1. How many millions of videos are on pornhub, and her mother found any of them? Like, I am so sure.
    2. A classmate (female) would not be looking at pornhub; a classmate (male) would not be admitting he was looking at pornhub, and even if he were aware that 14-yo was illegal stuff, he wouldn’t be reporting to authorities but to his mates.

There’s some insidious work afoot, and it’s hard to keep track of whom I should be for or against or who’s against what and if I should be for the person who’s for the thing or against it, etc. Good job plowing through all that, mon vieux.

    Caspar

  2. This entire situation is bizarre…

I honestly don’t know what to think about it, but I am concerned about the legions of people lining up to protest for this flavor-of-the-week cause. I guarantee the “unpersoning policy” employed by mastercard will be soon adopted by other similar companies, and will have the potential to be used on, well…practically anyone. Like I’ve said before, removing someone’s ability to store, pay, and receive money in today’s society is a death sentence. Let’s hope these people are not petitioning for their own.

On a side note, bringing down pornhub does nothing to protect victims of abuse. The people who record those videos will just upload them somewhere else. Even if every single porn site and porn video was taken down, those abusers would still exist, and continue abusing. The entire thing is just a knee-jerk reaction to manufactured outrage, and serves only to placate the secondhand guilt of the public at large.

I’ll even go out on a limb and say that many people are pushing for this because it’s trendy, not because they actually want to solve problems. To be fair, most probably think they’re helping. I think they are just subconsciously adopting an “out of site, out of mind” policy for the internet.
“If I can’t see the videos, they don’t exist…nobody is being trafficked or abused…life is good.”

  3. Once they establish the precedent, they will do it to all companies who process firearm related charges.

The comptroller proposed a rule to prevent that, but trump in all his dumbassery took 3.75 years to do it

  4. This is a very good thing.

If deplatforming only targets the political right, then it will continue. But if deplatforming expands to target nearly everyone, then it will collapse.

This is an example of leftist revolutionaries eating their own.

Yes, I know it’s strange, thinking of VISA and MasterCard as leftist revolutionaries. But Globalist Neocons, Antifa/BLM, Pornhub, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and VISA and MasterCard, all support the same agenda. So it’s nice to see them turning on each other to prove who’s most woke.

  5. I don.t know what that Chinese means but it started off this article.

    Per Google Translate:

“Read simplified Chinese version Read traditional Chinese version”

Might be an advertisement banner for the article in Chinese. Not sure why they would advertise the Chinese translation, if one exists.

  6. 1. They offer some articles in Chinese. Simplified characters are used on the mainland and traditional ones in Taiwan plus some diaspora communities.
Guess there’s a market for the NYT in China as it’s the mouthpiece of TPTB, like the Global Times is for them.

    2. Disturbing content has also been posted on YT and FB which, like PH, have made a good faith but imperfect effort to remove and prevent it.

    3. I heard PH also hosts some of the last unmoderated forums where all sorts of non-pron, politically incorrect matters are discussed.

Like Wight, I think this is mostly a bandwagon but will soon be extended to many others now that withholding financial services from non-criminals has been normalized.

If you have a high profile, begin to diversify.

  7. “3. I heard PH also hosts some of the last unmoderated forums where all sorts of non-pron, politically incorrect matters are discussed.”

Now that you mention it, I read somewhere that Pornhub once looked to diversify into a full-service alternative to youTube because they already has comparable bandwidth and server capacity. They didn’t do it but maybe this is sinking a potential competitor in addition to passing valuable legislation.
