My Trumpian Crisis Of Faith

Watching Trump’s response to the astonishing election fraud has been quite the test of faith for me. Not in the sense that he’s my savior or a decent human being or anything so mush-brained. The classical definition:

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

I had faith that Trump would beat the election fraud. With his massive ego on one side and Unilaterally Assured Destruction on the other side, there was no other possible outcome. I even reassured some of my readers that Trump surely had this. The only reason I didn’t put cash money on Trump remaining Prez was professional ethics in the workplace.

It was a hard test of faith. At every point short of giving up, Trump cucked. He kept trying to make backroom deals. He authorized the Biden transition team. He ignored his supporters’ worries. His SCOTUS choice backstabbed him. His Vice President backstabbed him. Trump still identified as a Republican. I did not despair. Trump had, he simply HAD to know that his choice was Death Or Glory.

And then…

Ralph Northam Sending Virginia National Guard to D.C. amid Chaos

h ttps://www.breitbart.com/politics/2021/01/06/ralph-northam-sending-virginia-national-guard-to-d-c-amid-chaos/

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) announced Wednesday that he will send the state national guard to Washington, DC, amid chaos and protestors entering the Capitol building.

.My team and I are working closely with @MayorBowser, @SpeakerPelosi, and @SenSchumer to respond to the situation in Washington, D.C. Per the Mayor’s request, I am sending members of the Virginia National Guard along with 200 Virginia State Troopers,. the Virginia governor wrote Wednesday.

The coup begins as the Deep State orders the military into the streets. I still had faith…

The announcement follows as Donald Trump protesters stormed the Capitol building to object to the 2020 presidential election certification.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said Wednesday that Trump ordered the National Guard to D.C. to reestablish order.

The counter-coup. This has been TOO LONG in coming. I still had faith…

.At President @realDonaldTrump.s direction, the National Guard is on the way along with other federal protective services. We reiterate President Trump’s call against violence and to remain peaceful,. McEnany wrote.

WHAAAT?!

.Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement,. Trump wrote [on Twitter]. .They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!.

Trump added later, .I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order . respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!.

FUUUUUCK

Trump ordered his supporters to stand down at the exact moment he needed them most. Did he ever want supporters or did he just enjoy the parades while trusting his political connections for the realpolitik? What was he expecting his supporters would do when he didn’t let any of them in on what his plans were?

Other prominent Republicans, such as Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), called on protestors to stop the violence.
.Violence and mob rule is wrong and un-American, and it will not bring about election reform,. Paul said. .Today’s mayhem sets back any intelligent debate for a generation. Just stop it..

It would be a mistake to opine further on a developing story of this magnitude. Suffice to say, I had faith that Trump at least wanted to survive right up until he told his supporters, at the moment they were storming the Capitol on his behalf, that he was ashamed of them.

He wants us to Trust the Plan, I guess, but I don’t trust Trump anymore. Not even to save his own neck.

Couldn’t Year 2021 go a single week without breaking my heart?

  1. My sister said it was antifa doing the fence hopping and storming. Do you think Trump had to restrain anyone if indeed we were peaceful? I can too easily believe the press is using this against us even though it’s antifa doing the violence.
If so, why would Paul and Trump speak against it? Call it out, more leftie violence.
I never trusted Pence. Caved in Indiana and sounded like a gas bag phony on Rush.
I’d like to know what he is thinking. Does he really think he will be so liked by dissatisfied dems and new voters that he and Haley will win in 24?
If so, it’s evidence of a spirit of delusion. Republicans are never winning anything again.

  2. Yeah, I did not think Trump had a plan. He had some good successes while in office; approving a pipeline to get jobs going, built a few hundred miles of the wall, had vastly more success on establishing mid-east peace than any other president I remember and reducing red tape to name a few.
But I don’t think he showed that he had long-term plans. He has great instincts, in business and at least somewhat in politics. But I don’t know of any proof that he ever had a plan, in his political career, that was more than 5 steps long. And Biden will undo the improvements Trump helped give us, so… the world will suck more on Jan 21.

  3. He didn.t have good instincts. He literally abandoned his base. He refused to put forward an economic stimulus package centered on public works and infrastructure projects.

Trump talked a big game and produced elementary league results.

  4. “My sister said it was antifa doing the fence hopping and storming.”

It didn’t matter enough for me to wait and check. Trump directed his statements at his supporters. His only advantage has ever been his populist appeal and telling his supporters to obey and trust the police protecting the officials who stole the election will end that support as soon as they have time to process what he said. It’s a poor leader who orders his troops to follow his enemy’s rules of engagement.

Trump should have instructed the rally to storm the Capitol if/when the vote went against him and if Antifa infiltrators managed to start the party early, just run with it. That’s how you use a mob. It’s not like the media will allow him any claim of legitimacy. He’d only have, again, his populist appeal.

If Trump does pull out a victory now, it’ll be via backroom dealing and political scheming. Not by championing the people against the Establishment. No need for MAGA people to attend another rally; We’re just spectators to whatever our rulers decide to do.

Ah, well. America was going to die anyway. I’d just hoped that Trump would go down fighting instead of cucking. Hoping in his selfishness was an interesting exercise of faith against the media Narrative.

Thank God that Christ won’t disappoint us like that.

  5. I too am disappointed in Trump. He made some big mistakes. Upon arriving in Washington, he surrounded himself with the Deep State, and cast out loyalists (like Bannon and Christie). The Kushners were especially subversive.

But (only partially because of that mistake) he was attacked from the start. The media and Democrats challenged his legitimacy for years, through that bogus Russian conspiracy claim. He was boxed in, unsupported by his own party, out of his depth, inexperienced in politics. He did what little he could.

In the end, I think he fought as best he could. Even the Kushners (two traitorous grifters) abandoned him, exiting the White House in early November, eager to return to their luxurious lifestyles and the party circuit.

  6. As past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour, I assumed he’d back down and I also think he won’t offer anyone involved pardons or other assistance.
People built Trump up in their minds to be the leader they needed him to be, but he was always the same old Trump that Mad Magazine used to poke fun at.

  7. It really doesn’t matter what Trump does or doesn’t do at this stage, because the war is moving forward with or without him. This whole thing is very much bigger and deeper than Donald Trump. The People have had all the bullshit and betrayal that they’re going to take, and they made that very clear yesterday. And that was just a warm-up act.

Trump’s instructions last night to his followers to “stand down and go home” are likely the last such orders he’ll ever issue that anyone will obey. Civil War II is now fully underway and he can either step up and lead, or Patriots will find someone else who will. If he thinks he can compromise and survive at this point, then he’s not nearly as smart as he or others give him credit for being. History is marching forward. If Trump thinks it’s all a game, then he’s in for a very ugly surprise.

  8. Lexet Blog, you are upset for no TVA program?
Did I misread the original post and you think Gunner’s crisis is because Trump won’t be around to increase Federal spending?
It’s as if in 4 years I go to a lib blog and say, “yea, you know what else B/H didn’t do, they never made abortion rare and decrease EPA regulations. ”
A Tennessee Valley Authority spending program is what you want from a conservative President?

  9. Dennis Prager is condemning the DC protest. He’s also praising Republican leaders for condemning the DC protest.

Prager says this shows the moral superiority of the Right. That “we” condemn our rioters, whereas the Left refuses to condemn their rioters.

Prager (and so many conservatives) are more concerned with claiming the “moral high ground” than with winning.

  10. @RPL

Praeger is one of the (((pathetic cucks))) responsible for leading the sheep to the slaughter. As with all the other prominent Republicucks, I look forward to the day when the enemy whose ass he’s now kissing and whose dick he’s now sucking liquidates him after he’s no longer a useful idiot.

  11. Here is another example I can’t figure out:
    https://lidblog.com/attack-on-us-capitol/

Why are he, Tucker Carlson, and John Hindraker at Powerline blog all using such dire and extreme language for yesterday? A city was taken over this year, and these folks opposed it heartily, but nothing like they are using for yesterday.
I don’t know who Jeff Dunetz at the Lidblog is, but I was recommended to the Lid as a replacement for other wayward conservative sites.
A horrifying day in US history is how Dunetz described yesterday.
Where does that come from? Tucker used the word horrifying also.
Powerline and an Instapundit writer (both lawyers) both said Trump is unfit for office in the last 24 hours.
    Are there any Patriots left?

  12. The worst part about this is that they are now using the violence as an excuse to certify Biden without auditing. I would be fine if they said:
“We condemn the violence being committed, but rest assured, we will continue to fight tooth-and-nail to find the truth regarding election fraud.”

But they’re not saying that. It really makes me angry. The left would never allow the violence on their own side to get in the way of a suspected election fraud investigation, especially not if the truth favored them. But apparently the right does.

  13. “Where does that come from? Tucker used the word horrifying also.”

The Cloud People thought it was all a game until the Dirt People walked into their living room.

  14. I have no connection or understanding of where these conservative responses are coming from. They expect evil to be defeated by politeness?

  15. Maybe the Christians do presume on Our Father, and expect him to reward their politeness and lack of any resistance to evil. It would explain why the churches are so feminist.

  16. Wight of Leeds: The worst part about this is that they are now using the violence as an excuse to certify Biden without auditing.

If not the riots, they would have found another excuse. The Supreme Court found an excuse not to take the case.

Prager today also condemned Pelosi for banning “gendered language” in the House — and then added, “Even transpeople believe in gender. Transwomen identify as female. Transmen identify as male. Who is offended by gendered language? Non-binaries?”

Prager has long since caved to trannies — but he’s firmly holding the moral high ground against non-binaries.

  17. Infrastructure on bridges and roads, which are failing across the nation. It.s been needed for decades, and no one has ever addressed it. It was also in his 2016 platform

  18. Are there any Patriots left?

Not in the media, it would appear.

They expect evil to be defeated by politeness?

Yes, they do. That’s one of the defining characteristics of a cuckservative. It’s why they ALWAYS lose.

These people are either incredibly stupid, or they took the ticket long ago and have decided that now is the time to come out of the closet.
