Will Conservatives Move To I’ll-Jeer-Ya Media?

As conservatives get deplatformed and betrayed Left and Right on social media… looking at YOU, Fox News!.. they’ve been migrating into increasingly obvious honeytraps such as Parler. Methinks this effort jumps the shark.

Al Jazeera is launching a new media platform called ‘Rightly’ for conservatives

Television news channel Al-Jazeera announced that they would be launching a new media platform for conservatives called “Rightly.”

The same news organization that hosts Jihadist holocaust-deniers is offering a new home for conservatives. How nice and altruistic of them!

The digital platform will air its first show on Thursday called “Right Now with Stephen Kent,” an opinion news program. Kent described his show in an email to NPR as not being simply another forum for the fight between Republicans and Democrats. “This show is a forum about the fight within the right over its commitment to liberalism, the ethic of accommodation, and openness,” Kent said.

Kent is a libertarian, a regular on the Glenn Beck show and the kind of man who keeps NPR informed of his activities.

Problem glasses, no facial hair and a Congressman’s smile.

“That tradition is under attack on the left and right,” he added. “But I can’t settle the left’s increasingly complicated relationship with liberalism. So my focus will be on the right and building the case over time for why the liberal tradition is worth defending.”

I’m pretty sure that that is Buzzfeed’s shtick. Also Vice, Vox, Jezebel, CNN and my local rag.

Rightly’s editor in chief is a longtime journalist and blogger from Fox News, Scott Norvell, as first reported by Politico.

Michael Weaver, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Growth at Al Jazeera Media Network’s Digital Division, released a statement further elaborating the mission of the new media outlet.

“Al Jazeera is excited to expand its digital footprint with Rightly to provide fresh voices that are too often left out of the mainstream media a space to engage and debate the issues that matter most to them,” said Weaver.

Rightly will also be a platform where the full spectrum of political voices can expect to have, or find, a thoughtful debate on the future of the United States,” he added.

According to The Guardian, the new platform is already facing criticism from within Al Jazeera’s staff.

Privately, some Al Jazeera staff expressed dismay at the launch of Rightly, wondering how it squared with the network’s previously stated commitments to giving voice to marginalised communities. Al Jazeera has been seen suspiciously by many on the right for what appeared to be left-wing bias when reporting the news. The channel is also funded by the Qatari government.

No red flags, Cuckservatives. Go play! Let it all hang out! *ding* Ah, my popcorn’s ready.

  1. My cable TV doesn’t carry Al-Jazeera.

I got about 1,000 channels, including 100s of blank pay-per-views. Dozens of duplicate channels — MTV this and that, countless sports, shopping, old shows, infomercials, etc. Maybe 40 public domain channels, most of them blank with just billboards with PSAs about green recylcing or diversity or upcoming school board meeting notices.

    But no Al-Jazeera. Why?

I assume it’s because they’re not as safely pro-Israel as every other channel. I remember when Al Jazeera was expanding over decade ago. I was reading some trade publication, and a prominent, American cable TV executive (who was Jewish) was quoted as saying, “No, we will definitely not be carrying Al Jazeera.”

Why not? They seem to carry everything else, with blank channels to spare.

I’m sure Al Jazeera is far from perfect. But any authentic challenge to the dominant Neocon/Neoliberal/Globalist narrative is welcome at this point. Kind of like RT, which has hosted Ron Paul and other anti-globalists in the past.

  2. I could get onboard with the anti-Israel BDS crowd, too, if only they didn’t hate Christ just as much. Or if their idea of welcoming conservative refugees from Fox News wasn’t a Fox News show on a new channel dedicated to hearing all political voices instead of just the liberal ones that are already complaining about conservatives being allowed into the tent.

    It’s clown world out there!

  3. Al Jazeera is launching a new media platform called .Rightly. for conservatives

Another instance of Charlie Brown (cuckservatives) running for Lucy and her football (another Establishment honey trap).

“Conservatives” are too zoologically stupid to deserve their own legitimate platform.

  4. @Acid Kritana:

a few problems with your survey.

    “I’m not interested in women”.
That may be a valid option, although I think few men will agree with it. You should add options similar:
    – I am interested in women, but I find most women from my city to be unfeminine and therefore uninteresting
    – I am interested in women and I have a job, home, car and reasonable health, but I I cannot find a woman from my city who is both feminine and open to a relationship with me

For “Are men superior to women”, this is either a poorly-worded question, or you need more options.
Of course men are superior… in many ways, but not all.
    Suggested options:
    – Men are superior in many/most tasks appropriate for their role as leader, protector and provider of his family
    – Men are superior in emotional self-control and maturity
    – Men are superior in focusing on long-term gain and safety

By contrast, (many) men are not superior at spending 8 hours with a whiny new infant. Or creating drama. Or in being fooled by Nigeria scammers.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish with your survey. Good luck.

  5. Thank you, JPF. I added all of your suggestions, and I also included a couple of new things. I hope it’s better now. Thanks!
