I nearly missed a dustup between youTube MGTOWs Turd Flinging Monkey & DDJ on one side, and MGTOW 101, Kris Cantu & Angry MGTOW, the makers of some kind of Red Pill Cryptocurrency, on the other. The latter made accusations and attacks on sponsors against the former… DDJ gives an excellent recap for the interested:
While I’m not familiar with the principals, the matter seems straightforward. Cantu & associates tried to monetize the MGTOW movement, the monetization turned out to be fraudulent and onetime allies got stuck between dollars and buddies.
There’s an adage that you never go into business with family or friends. Excellent advice. It’s hard to separate “Larry, your bowling partner” from “Larry, the nitwit who convinced you to invest your life savings in Sears and Marvel Comics”. Same thing with MGTOW. It isn’t something that is meant to be profitable, heck, if society was healthy then MGTOW wouldn’t be something that would exist. We men would be getting rich the simple way, mixing work ethic with frugal spending.
Buy the T-shirt? Sure! Subscribe to get more content/entertainment? Of course! But once big money gets involved, fallout is more likely than not. There’s too much anonymity in the MGTOW movement and often, too much plain old wishful thinking… and if money starts disappearing then fingers start pointing. Desperation is an ugly thing.
Friends don’t give friends investment opportunities.
LOL .. it’s always about money ain’t it .. MGTOW’s have no Leader or hi-arc-ee .. no meetings .. no dues .. no memberships. Otherwise they wouldn’t be MGTOW’s .. geeeez.
So many, MGTOW & NON-MGTOW, have tried to corner the market as the MGTOW leader & charging or demanding ah-lee-gents to them .. that it has become cult-like inside some MGTOW circles of content.
The Apostles had the same problem. It got crushed by telling you are following Jesus Christ not one apostle or the other.
It’s like these guys want you to give a tithe to them or something.
Your strategy is a good one too. (I give nothing!)
